![]() We’re talking about the ability to handle authentication using the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) standard, a step above simply filling login form fields, and dynamic authentication policies that evaluate variables surrounding an authentication attempt making sure users are using a registered device or are attempting to log in from an accepted geographic location, ultimately deciding if additional authentication measures should be applied or if the attempt should be denied. You’ll want the ability to synchronize with LDAP or Active Directory, or the option to leverage authentication from cloud services like Office 365 or Google Workspace, to streamline deployment of the password manager to your users. This enables streamlined management, which isn’t so much of a convenience feature as it is enhancing security by automatically removing access when an employee leaves the company or changes job roles.Īdvanced authentication capabilities. Interoperability with enterprise software and networking. Most people have difficulty remembering more than one strong password, so they often end up either reusing a password across sites-meaning that a hacker who discovers the password can go on a break-in spree-or using weak passwords that are easy to defeat by brute force.Ī password manager will autogenerate random new strong passwords for all of a user’s accounts, and users can access their various account credentials using either a single strong password, multifactor authentication or a passwordless security model. ![]() While it may seem counterintuitive at first to entrust security to a single password manager app accessed by a single password, using a password manager is in fact a very good idea. And while these tools got their start in the consumer world, most offerings now have editions aimed at businesses with enterprise features. Most password managers allow users to sign in on multiple devices (including Macs, Windows machines, and iPhone or Android smartphones) and work with multiple browsers (including Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edgfe) to automatically fill in username and password info, storing encrypted password information and facilitating secure synchronization between devices. Users can sign into a password manager with a single strong password or by using biometrics, and access all their login information. A password manager is a program that stores passwords and logins for various sites and apps, and generates new strong passwords when a user needs to change an old one or create a new account. ![]() For that you need a motion for summary judgment, and this comes much earlier in the process. That is, you could argue in a motion in limine that the other side should not be able to introduce certain evidence or make certain arguments, but a motion in limine is not the place to ask for a ruling on the entire case in your favor. Motions in limine are not motions for summary judgment. ![]() And it helps the judge get to know you a little bit and to be reminded of certain rules of evidence.Īll of these things are absolutely vital to your chances of success. That will give you a chance to make an impression on the judge, explain some of the legal concepts behind the case, and make your arguments regarding evidence at a time when the court is freer to give what you say some thought. You have a much better chance to get heard at a hearing on a motion to exclude. Will everything you say get heard? Not at trial. Judges know that, and they know that pro se parties lack this training, so they naturally take what you say with a grain of salt.Īnd then there’s the fact that trials move very quickly, and the judge will be watching the clock very carefully. They can do dumb things, of course, but usually they don’t. ![]() They naturally pay more attention to them for just those reasons.Īnd then there’s the fact that lawyers understand the system and are trained in it. Judges may or may not mean to pay more attention to lawyers, but they themselves WERE lawyers, their friends are lawyers, and lawyers are the ones they see day in and day out. As a pro se party in a system run by lawyers and judges, it can be hard to get listened to. There’s another reason for pro se parties to use motions in limine. Or they can simplify matters for you at trial if that happens. Thus motions in limine can be very significant turning points. And if that happens, it may give up without your needing to go to the trial at all. Thus you bring your motion and attempt to win it for legal reasons, but if you do manage to win it, you will be able to keep the debt collector from putting on the most important parts of its evidence. Like other parts of litigation, they are directed at the legal merits of the case but could have their most powerful impact on negotiations. They are usually directed at evidence, but they could also be directed at legal theories or arguments. “Limine” is Latin for “threshold,” so these motions are usually brought right before trial, when it’s pretty clear what the other side plans to do. Motions in Limine are motions filed before trial. On a motion in limine, you can make your arguments before the trial begins, when things are likely to be overlooked in the heat and action of the trial. ![]() And they give you a chance to show how the plaintiff’s evidence does not meet the exception it’s planning to invoke, the business records exception. There is no second round of bidding - bids once made cannot be altered. Unlike other games with bidding, there is no requirement for each bid to be higher than the last one, and players are not allowed to pass. Everyone must bid a number, and in theory any number from 0 to 13 is allowed. The bidding begins with the player to dealer's left and continues clockwise around the table. Each team adds together the bids of the two partners, and the total is the number of tricks that team must try to win in order to get a positive score. In Spades, all four players bid a number of tricks. The cards are shuffled and then dealt singly, in clockwise order beginning with the player on dealer's left, until all 52 cards have been dealt and everyone has 13. The first dealer is chosen at random, and the turn to deal rotates clockwise. The cards, in each suit, rank from highest to lowest: A, K, Q, J, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. Deal and play are clockwise.Ī standard pack of 52 cards is used. The four players are in fixed partnerships, with partners sitting opposite each other. Spades for Four Players Players and Cards I am grateful to Theodore Hwa, Dennis J Barmore, Szu Kay Wong, John Hay, Daniel Hines, and many others who have contributed information on variations. It is most often played as a partnership game by four players, but there are also versions for three, two or six players. Spades is a plain-trick game in which spades are always trumps. After the main description, there is a collection of numerous variations, which are still common in face to face social games. The introduction of of on-line play and tournaments has also led to some standardisation of the rules, and this page has been revised so that the main description conforms to the standard. However, since the mid 1990's Spades has become popular internationally because of its easy availability in on-line card rooms on the Internet. Until recently it has been little known elsewhere, except in a few places where American troops were stationed, for example in parts of Germany. Spades was invented in the USA in the 1930's and is played quite widely in that country. ![]() Quite simply, I have too many vehicles and this one sits most of the time. Wondering why I am selling this beautiful piece of American Automotive ingenuity? The truckis unmolested and is basically as it was when Centurion built it. It has passed Arizona emissions without any issues every year. It runs great and for a 7,000# vehicle has no issues getting up to speed. They then mated the F-Series crew-cab body to the rear portion of a Ford Bronco, starting just behind the rear doors. This truck is 25 years old and is showing some of its age cosmetically as you can see. To create their version of the four-door Bronco, Centurion started with an F-Series chassis, either from an F-150 or F-350, with a wheelbase shortened to 140 inches. The original stereo was replaced with an updated Kenwood Bluetooth equipped deck and all the speakers were replaced with Kenwood products in original locations as well. The dash is in great shape with no cracks. The rear seat folds flat to make a bed or can be taken out by removing two hand tightened bolts. The middle seat is a 60-40 split, both adjustable (reclining) and folds and tumbles forward. Interior has driver & passenger power front reclining seats with a flip seat in the middle. Now that the official Bronco online configurator is live on the Ford site, a few Overland Expo staff members each sat down and built our dream Bronco overland rig. It has an 8,000# Hickey Sidewinder winch mounted behind the factory front bumper which also has a Luverne push bar/brush guard. The Centurion has a full Ford One-Ton chassis and running gear to include a Dana 60 front axle. ![]() The V1 was replaced in 2015 with a V2 when there was a bearing failure. This Centurion came equipped with aVortech V1 Supercharged equipped 460 (7.5L) under the hood. It has lived its entire life in the desert southwest. The original owner was a cardiologist in Hemmet, CA. The frame was shortened and the Bronco rear end was grafted to the crew cab truck unlike the C150s (half-ton) models where the frame and cab were sectioned to add the second set of doors (Ford didn't make a crew cab F150 back then). Was sent to Centurion where it underwent the transformation to what is, in layman's terms, a Four Door Bronco. ![]() The truck started life as a 4-wheel drive, Crew Cab F350. The seller notes that the power windows in the driver’s door and the tailgate were recently serviced. One of approximately 4,048 ever made between 19 when Ford ceased production of the Bronco.īy comparison, there were over 13,000 Shelby Mustangs built in the 1960's. Instrumentation includes an 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and a digital odometer displaying 41k miles. A custom wood center console houses a rear-facing television linked to a JVC VHS player, while an overhead wood console houses accessory lighting for the cabin. The interior is outfitted with custom captain’s chairs for the front and middle rows, which are accompanied by a third-row bench upholstered in matching beige leather. Leveraging the soul & design of the 1st generation, todays Bronco delivers on the Bronco promise of capability, durability & 55 years of off-road credibility. Stock polished 15″ wheels are fitted with 31×10.5″ Michelin Defender LTX tires displaying 2017 date codes. Meet the Ford Bronco® lineup: Bronco®, Bronco® Sport & introducing the Bronco® Raptor. The truck rides on a 140″ wheelbase and features a roof rack and a chrome rear bumper with a ball hitch. The exterior on this example is finished in Deep Forest Green Metallic with tan lower trim, integrated running boards, and special C-150 badging. To construct the C-150 Classic, the cab of an F-Series pickup would be combined with the body of a contemporary Bronco, including the latter’s rear quarter panels, removable hardtop, and tailgate. Recently acquired by the selling dealer out of Vermont, the truck is equipped with a 5.8-liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, and features include leather-clad captain’s chairs, air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, a CB radio, and a television/VHS combination. This 1994 Ford began life as an F-150 Super Cab 4×4 pickup produced at Ford’s Claycomo, Missouri facility, and it was outfitted with a Centurion crew-cab conversion during prior ownership. ![]() 17th Street, on your requisition to printing.
